Happy Birthday Pastor Collins – Misty Collins and the family of Pastor Ronnie would like invite you to come celebrate his 50th Birthday at Out of the Box Worship Center this Sunday, August 30th. Come worship with us and then stay for a catered lunch, prepared by Joe Webb, following the 11:15am service. You don’t need to bring anything, just come and help Ronnie celebrate!
Charge Conference – Thursday, 9/3 at 6:30pm at Out of the Box Worship Center. Everyone who is a member of OOTBWC is invited to attend.
Meet Christian – Out of the Box Worship Center will be sponsoring a child through Compassion International. It takes $38.00 a month to provide needs such as food, medical care, schooling, and most importantly providing God’s Word! A locked box will be placed at the information desk in the lobby with a picture of our child! We can write and send letters to him! We welcome you to drop loose change, a dollar, or whatever amount you would like to to help us meet our monthly goal of $38.00. If you have any questions please see Leigh Anne Smith or Ronnie G Collins. We are excited to add yet another outreach ministry and help those in need and provide God’s word in Guatemala!! Family Weekend at Camp Dickenson – We are planning a Family Camping Weekend at Camp Dickenson in Fries for September 11th – 13th. There will be camping available for Friday and Saturday night. There are 10 sites available and unlimited tent camping available in the grass. A sign up sheet is in the Lobby at the Information Desk.
Drivers – we need people to sign up to carpool and drive others over to Camp Dickenson. There is a sign up sheet at the Information Desk to volunteer.
Meals: Friday night you will have dinner on your own, Saturday night we will share a covered dish fellowship meal together. Please bring food and drinks to share. Sunday, we will have a picnic lunch with hamburgers and hot dogs. Please bring side dishes, desserts and drinks. There are sign up sheets for food items at the Information Desk in the Lobby at OOTBWC.
Sunday we will not have services in Hillsville, but, we will worship at Camp Dickenson at 10:30am at the River Shelter and have a River Baptism. Following the baptism, we will share a picnic lunch together.
Come join in on the fun and fellowship and spend the weekend with your church family enjoying the river and worshiping God at Camp Dickenson. If you would like to follow the example of Jesus and be baptized on Sunday, 9/13 in the New River please contact Pastor Ronnie at email@example.com.
Random Acts of Kindness – this group is planning a Laundry Mat outreach on Saturday, 9/26 at 9am at Westview Apartments in Hillsville. You can donate money to be used to get quarters to hand out to the people there by placing your donation in the “Gain Soap Box” on the Information Desk in the Lobby. If you are interested in doing Random Acts of Kindness with others from OOTBWC and the community, then contact Jackie Surratt at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Supplies for CCMS – we are collecting school supplies to be donated to Carroll County Middle School. You can bring supplies to OOTBWC and place them on the table in the Lobby. Suggested items are: gluesticks, notebooks, highlighters, pencils, loose leaf paper, 3 ring binders, kleenex, and bar soap.

Youth – meet on Wednesday evenings at 7:30pm for Bible Study at the Youth Center on Main Street. This group is for Middle School through High School age. Contact Erika Hill at email@example.com if you have any questions. Also, contact one of the youth leaders if you are interested in going to Resurrection in January, 2016.
Recovery Ministry – Weekly on Wednesday evenings beginning at 6pm with a free meal, worship at 7pm and small groups at 8:15pm. Children’s Ministry is also available. Contact Pastor Ronnie at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Food Pantry Drive – OOTBWC will be collecting Food Donations to contribute to the Community Food Pantry at FUMC Hillsville. To participate, bring an item from the list below and place in the marked box in the lobby. Also, cash donations are always appreciated—simply write “Food Pantry” in the memo of your check and place it in the offering. The following is a list of needed items: Oatmeal or cereal, macaroni & cheese, peanut butter, beef stew, canned spaghetti sauce, NO GLASS JARS & pasta, soup, canned green beans, peas or corn, dry rice, pinto beans. Change for a Dollar – Give one dollar each Sunday to the “Change for a Dollar Missions Fund”. The funds will be used to help transients, homeless, addicts, anyone who needs a little help. There will be a small envelope in the bulletin packet to use to put your dollar in and place it in the offering.
Volunteers are needed in all ministry areas at Out of the Box Worship Center. Check the Opportunities to Serve page on the website.
Children’s Ministry Life Groups available on Sunday mornings at 10am:
Nursery – Crib Nursery is located in the lobby of the worship center for babies. Nursery is available during both morning worship services for parent use.
Toddler Nursery – “Peeps” is located upstairs and is for toddlers up to Kindergarten. Toddler Nursery is available at 10am
Children’s Church/Loft for K – 5th Grade – meets during the 10am service upstairs over the worship center.
