Join us on Sunday mornings for worship at  8:45am|10am|11:15am. Main Street – Hillsville. Associate Pastor David Payne is bringing the message this Sunday on “Marriage” continuing the new sermon series on Relationships.

Vacation Bible School – Camp Jesus – this year at OOTBWC we are having a one day Bible School on this Sunday, 7/13/14 starting right after the 3rd service with a potluck lunch. VBS will run from 1:30 to 5:00pm. Volunteers are needed. Contact Tristan Davis at

Church League Softball – If you are interested in being on a Softball Team representing Out of the Box Worship Center through the Carroll County Parks and Recreation Dept, please email Cathy Sizemore at by Monday 7/14/14 or see Cathy this Sunday at church. A sign up sheet will be located at the Information Desk.

September Family Camping at Camp Dickenson – We are planning a great weekend of fun and fellowship at Camp Dickenson, 9/12 through 9/14.You can camp on Friday or Saturday night or both nights. We have 10 30amp Camp Sites reserved for the weekend for RV’s, Popups and Tents or you can camp in the grass in your tent. We also have two cabins available for our use. Each cabin has 17 bunk beds. Parents will need to stay with their children in the cabins.

We will enjoy dinner together on Saturday night at the River Picnic Shelter and then on Sunday morning at 10:30am, we will worship by the river at Camp Dickenson, have a River Baptism and then eat lunch together at the River Picnic Shelter. Bring food to share  for dinner on Saturday night and for lunch on Sunday.

If you can’t stay at the camp, then be sure to join us Sunday morning for worship at 10:30am followed by a River Baptism and picnic lunch.

Nicaragua Mission Trip – The mission trip to Nicaragua is coming soon and this group of missionaries needs our love, prayers and financial support. You can give to this Mission Trip by earmarking your check to “Nica Mission Trip”.  There are special envelopes in the lobby on the wall on the left before you get to the Crib Nursery. Contact Laura Edmonds at for more information.

Also, we are collecting supplies for our Nicaragua mission trip in July. The items will be used in the 600 child school we are working in and we’ll take donations for the next 5 weeks up until July 27. You can bring these items to OOTBWC and there will be a designated place in the Lobby. Here is a list of the supplies we need to take with us.

Recovery at Hillsville – This is a new ministry that is in the development process. If you are interested in serving on the Launch Team for this ministry or have any questions, please contact Pastor Ronnie at The group will begin meeting on Wednesday evenings from 7pm – 8pm starting August 13th for planning.

Bible 101 – A Bible study for the rest of us. The group is meeting on  Sunday mornings at 10am in the Youth Center on Main St Hillsville.

Prayer Group – Meets each Friday evening at 5:30pm at OOTBWC to pray over the prayer requests that are turned in on Sunday morning and any other prayer needs that the group is aware of.  If you are a Prayer Warrior and would like to get together with others each week and pray, then contact Misty Collins at

Crafters for Christ – is a group that meets regularly at OOTBWC and makes special gifts, cards and service projects for others. If you like doing crafts, knitting, crocheting or sewing and want to get together with this group, contact Cindy Brown at or Bonny Webb at  The next meeting is planned for 7/28 from 10am until Noon at the Youth Center to make cards.  Please bring scissors and any card crafting paper, designs you may have.

Back to School Bazzar – July 12th from 1 – 4 pm at OOTBWC. Donations of school supplies, hygiene items, kids shoes and clothing is needed. Bring in your donations to OOTBWC and leave them in the lobby.

Back 2 School

Prayer Walk – join Brenda Harmon and others from our church and community as they walk through Hillsville and pray for our church, for our nation, for the lost, and many other prayer concerns. The group meets on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 10am to 11am at OOTBWC. The next prayer walk is 7/19/14 at 10am.

Wednesday Night Bible Study with Pastor Ronnie – 6:15pm at OOTBWC. Bring your bible and join in the discussion.

Youth: are taking a break for the summer, but, watch the announcements for some fun activities planned before school starts back this fall!

CCMA Food Pantry operates every Monday and Thursday from 10 am until noon and volunteers are needed to take information, serve coffee to FP recipients, help carry boxes, and pray. The Food Pantry is in need of monetary and food donations. Suggested items are peanut butter, soup, spaghetti sauce, evaporated milk, ravioli and treat.  If you need more info, please call the FUMC Hillsville Church Office at 728-2434 or contact Pastor Pam Sutherland at

Step Out Help Out

Relay for Life needs volunteers to help with fund raising for the American Cancer Society. Please contact Cindy Brown at or 276-733-6228  to get involved and be a part of the Relay for Life Team.
