Nicaragua Mission Trip – There is a mission trip to Nicaragua planned for this Summer and this group of missionaries needs our love, prayers and financial support. You can give to this Mission Trip by earmarking your check to “Nica Mission Trip”.  There are special envelopes in the lobby on the wall on the left before you get to the Crib Nursery. Cardboard Testimonies – April 20 (Easter Sunday) we will be sharing “Cardboard Testimonies” and we invite you to participate. Simply write on one side of a  piece of cardboard what your life was like before Jesus and what it is like after Jesus on the other side. For more information and to sign up, you may visit the information table out front April 6 & 13, email dina.clower@yahoo.com, or call or text 276-733-5101. Cardboard will be available. Practice will be on Thursday, 4/17 at 6:30pm.  Let’s share with everyone how Christ has changed your life!

Recovery at Hillsville – This is a new ministry that is in the development process. If you are interested in serving on the Launch Team for this ministry or have any questions, please contact Pastor Ronnie at ronnie24317@yahoo.com.

Bible 101 – A Bible study for the rest of us. The group is meeting on  Sunday mornings at 10am in the Youth Center on Main St Hillsville.

Prayer Group – Misty Collins is forming a prayer group that will meet each Friday evening at 5:30pm at OOTBWC to pray over the prayer requests that are turned in on Sunday morning and any other prayer needs that the group is aware of.  If you are a Prayer Warrior and would like to get together with others each week and pray, then contact Misty Collins at misty24317@yahoo.com.

Prayer Walk – join Brenda Harmon and others from our church and community as they walk through Hillsville and pray for our church, for our nation, for the lost, and many other prayer concerns. The group will be walking on April 26th from 9am to 10am  and then May 17th and June 21st from 10am to 11am.

Volunteers are needed in all ministry areas at Out of the Box Worship Center. Check the Opportunities to Serve  page on the website. Right now we especially need volunteers in Children’s Ministry and people to serve one Sunday a month on the Information Desk in the Lobby during the 2nd service and 3rd services.

Women’s Bible Study -Wednesdays at 10:30am at the home of Tammy Payne in Galax. The study will be One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp. Women are invited to come, children are also welcome and bring you own packed lunch to have after the study.

Wonderful Wednesdays at FUMC Hillsville on Fulcher St. The Children’s Music Curriculum is “Radical Retro Ride. Supper is at 5:30 PM. Children’s and youth activities are from 6 to 7 PM.

Wednesday Night Bible Study with Pastor Ronnie – 6:15pm at OOTBWC. Bring your bible and join in the discussion.

Youth: Meet at OOTBYC on Main Street – Center opens at 5:30pm and bible study starts at 6pm. Follow our youth on Twitter @OOTBYouth.

CCMA Food Pantry operates every Monday and Thursday from 10 am until noon and volunteers are needed to take information, serve coffee to FP recipients, help carry boxes, and pray. The Food Pantry is in need of monetary and food donations. If you need more info, please call the FUMC Hillsville Church Office at 728-2434 or contact Pastor Pam Sutherland at pamsuth57@gmail.com.

Crafters for Christ – is a group that meets regularly at OOTBWC and makes special gifts, cards and service projects for others. If you like doing crafts, knitting, crocheting or sewing and want to get together with this group, contact Cindy Brown at browniebitesofwoodlawn@gmail.com or Bonny Webb at bdwebb@ccpsd.k12.va.us. Next meeting is 4/12 at 10am at the Youth Center on Main Street.

Children’s Ministry Meeting– Sunday 4/13 at 12:30pm in the Youth Center. All Children’s Ministry workers and volunteers are asked to attend.

Holy Week Services – Beginning Sunday, /13 to Wed, 4/16 at 7pm each evening at the Hillsville VFW. Sponsored by the Carroll County Ministerial Association.

FUMC Hillsville UMM Mission Project – The men at OOTBWC have been invited to join the United Methodist Men at FUMC Hillsville in their mission project to do minor repairs for those who are unable to do them themselves. The men are meeting on the last Saturday of each month at 9am for breakfast and then doing repairs. Safe Sanctuary Training Day – Saturday, 4/26 at 10am Out of the Box Youth Center for everyone serving in the Children’s Ministries at Out of the Box Worship Center.  Contact David Payne at daveandtammy@centurylink.net if you have any questions.

Free Spring Bazaar – Saturday, 5/3 from 9AM to 2PM at Out of the Box Worship Center. Donations of warm weather children’s and adult clothing and gently used toys can be brought to the church through April 27th. See Brenda Harmon or Misty Collins for more information or to volunteer! Step Out Help Out

Camp Dickenson – is a summer camp for kids and is part of the Holston Conference of UMC. Camp Dickenson is staffed by many OOTBWC young adults, so your kids will see a familiar face during their summer adventures. View more info and register here. If you are a member at OOTBWC, you will receive a $100 discount off of the brochure prices.

Camp Dickenson also needs your support in sending a Camper to Celebration Camp. This is a special week that is set aside for developmentally disabled persons to attend camp at Camp Dickenson this summer. The cost is $290 per camper. Relay for Life needs volunteers to help with fund raising for the American Cancer Society. Please contact Cindy Brown at browniebitesofwoodlawn@gmail.com or 276-733-6228  to get involved and be a part of the Relay for Life Team. Next meeting is 4/10 at the Youth Center. There is also a meeting on 4/24 at 6:30pm in the Youth Center and Antique Photos will be taken on 4/26.

Relay for Life is having a Second Chance Prom on April 26th from 8pm to Midnight open to anyone 18 to 180. Tickets are $25 per person or $40 for couples. It will be held at Carroll County High School. Tickets are available thru Cindy Brown (276-733-6228). They are also available Country Formals and Ideal Florist in Hillsville and Delps Photography and Smokehouse Restaurant in Galax.
