Come worship with us this Sunday at 8:45am, 10:00am & 11:15am, Pastor Ronnie is starting a new series about the church based on the book of Acts. Everyone is welcome!

Volunteers are needed in every area of ministry at OOTBWC. Check out the Opportunities to Serve page on the website for a list of Ministry Areas and contact information.

Vision 2014 – Vision group meetings are starting this week! Pastor Ronnie has a goal to meet with every person, who calls Out of the Box Worship Center their church home, during the month of November and early December. The groups will consist of 10-12 people for an hour and a half. We need need everyone to sign up to attend one of the Vision Meetings. sign-up sheets are located on a table in the lobby.


Wednesday Night Bible Study with Pastor Ronnie – 6:15pm at OOTBWC. The group is discussing the weekly reading that follows the 2013 5 x 5 Reading Challenge. Bring your bible and join in the discussion.

Youth meet on Wednesday evenings at the Youth Center on Main Street. Center opens at 5:30pm and Bible Study begins at 6pm. Contact David & Tammy Payne at or Jeff & Terry Scott at

Women’s Bible Study – “Lord, I need Grace to Make It” by Kay Arthur – at the home of Donna Cato. 6pm Fellowship time – bring finger foods to share. 7pm Bible Study. Contact Donna at 233-1119.

Wonderful Wednesdays at FUMC Hillsville on Fulcher St – The Children’s Music Curriculum is “Radical Retro Ride. Supper at 5:30 PM. Children’s and Youth activities are from 6 to 7 PM.

CCMA Food Pantry operates every Thursday from 10 am until noon and volunteers are needed to take information, serve coffee to FP recipients, help carry boxes, and pray. Operation Christmas Child – Since 1993, more than 100 million boys and girls in over 130 countries have experienced God’s love through the power of simple shoebox gifts from Operation Christmas Child Are you packing a shoe box? Pick one up Sunday at church and fill it with small toys, toiletry items, candy, socks, tissues, etc.

Shoe Box Blessing Sunday-Congregational Covered Dish Luncheon and Packing Party Sunday Nov. 17th. Helpers needed for Sat. 11/16 at noon to set up and on Sunday the 17th for the Packing Party and lunch: Kitchen Crew at 10am, Servers at Noon, and Cleanup Crew at 2pm. You don’t want to miss this-a very special time.

Travel dates to Boone are Monday 12/2 and Sat 12/7. sign-up sheets to go to the Boone Processing Center are located in the lobby. Contact Patti Holderfield at

Our children are collecting money for Operation Christmas Child Shoebox project. We will use all of the money collected to shop for items for our shoebox packing party. Missions will match dollar for
dollar all money children collect up to $500. Let’s see if we can all work together and turn this into a $1000 shopping spree for our shoebox packing party.

OCC Shopping – The children are invited to go shopping for the Operation Christmas Child’s Shoebox project on Wed, 11/6. They will leave from FUMC Hillsville at 6pm following the Wed night supper and return at 8:30pm. Women’s Bible Study with Pastor Pam will begin on Thursday, 11/7 at 2 pm in the Youth Room at FUMC Hillsville on Fulcher Street.  All ladies are invited to attend this weekly study.

Relay for Life needs volunteers to help with fund-raising for the American Cancer Society. Please contact Cindy Brown at  to get involved and be a part of the Relay for Life Team.

Bark in the Park for Relay for life will be 11/9 rain or shine from 11am to 2pm at Felts Park in Galax. Registration is from 10am to 11am and the cost is $10 per dog. No dog will go home empty pawed!!

Crafters for Christ ~ Knit/Crochet/Sewing Ministry – The group is meeting on 11/16 at 10am at OOTBWC. If you can knit, crochet or sew (or you would like to learn) and want to get together and make service projects for others, contact Beth Brooke (336) 953-1293 or

    I enjoy receiving the announcements from OOTBWC. Beginning on November 11, the CCMA’s Food Pantry will distribute food on Mondays and Thursdays from 10 a.m.-noon. The extra day was added due to the increase in requests for food.
