Come worship with us this Sunday at 8:45am, 10:00am & 11:15am. We are continuing the series “What’s the Price?” and we would love to see you. Everyone is welcome!

Whats the Price 9.15.13

We are using connection cards to record attendance. Be sure go get a connection card from a Greeter and fill it out each Sunday for those in your family in attendance.

October River Baptism – Pastor Ronnie is planning a River Baptism in October. It will be on a Sunday right after the 11:15am service with lunch on the river. Please contact Pastor Ronnie at if you would like to follow the example of Jesus and be baptized.

Children’s Ministry Sign In – There is a table set up in the lobby for Children’s Ministry sign in. All children participating in the Nurseries, God’s Loft and Seeds of Faith must be signed in and signed out by a parent or guardian.

Wonderful Wednesdays at FUMC Hillsville – The Children’s Music Curriculum is “Radical Retro Ride. Supper is at 5:30 PM. Children’s and Youth activities are from 6pm to 7pm. Children’s activities include choir and a newly formed Bible club time.  Youth choir for 6th – 12th graders will meet from 6:00pm to 6:20pm in the choir room. Adult Bible Study is at 6 pm. Adult choir is at 7:15pm.

Wednesday Night Bible Study with Pastor Ronnie – 6:15pm at OOTBWC.

Youth meet on Wednesday evenings at the Youth Center on Main Street, center opens at 5:30pm. Bible Study is at 6pm.

CCMA Food Pantry operates every Thursday from 10 am until noon and volunteers are needed to take information, serve coffee to FP recipients, help carry boxes, and pray.  The Food Pantry is in need of monetary and food donations. Volunteers are needed in all areas of  ministry at OOTBWC. Check the website page “Opportunities to Serve” for a list and contact information and get involved!

Since 1993, more than 100 million boys and girls in over 130 countries have experienced God’s love through the power of simple shoe box gifts from Operation Christmas Child Are you packing a shoe box? Pick one up Sunday at church and fill it with small toys, toiletry items, candy, socks, tissues, etc.

Shoe Box Blessing Sunday-Congregational Covered Dish Luncheon and Packing Party Sunday Nov. 17th. Helpers needed for Sat. Nov. 16th at noon to set up and on Sunday the 17th for the Packing Party and lunch: Kitchen Crew at 10am, Servers at Noon, and Cleanup Crew at 2pm. You don’t want to miss this-a very special time.

Travel dates to Boone are Monday 12/2 and Sat 12/7. Signup sheets to go to the Boone Processing Center are located in the lobby. Contact Patti Holderfield at

Our children are collecting money for Operation Christmas Child Shoebox project. We will use all of the money collected to shop for items for our shoebox packing party. Missions will match dollar for
dollar all money children collect up to $500. Let’s see if we can all work together and turn this into a $1000 shopping spree for our shoe box packing party.

Crafters for Christ ~ Knit/Crochet/Sewing Ministry – October meeting dated are 10/12 and 10/26. Please RSVP to Beth if you are attending so supplies can be purchased. Children’s Fall Festival – Sat, 10/19 from Noon – 3pm at FUMC Hillsville – Fulcher St Fellowship Hall. Volunteers, candy and baked goods donations and are needed. Please contact Leona Brown at 728-7775 or at
